#GivingTuesday is a global day of giving, where people are encouraged to take a step back from the hustle and bustle of holiday shopping, and give back to those in need. This year, RedBasket.org is encouraging donors to give to the Good Start Fund.

What is the Good Start Fund?

Through the Good Start Fund, we seed each campaign published on our website with a $50 initial donation. We’ve found that people are more likely to contribute to campaigns they think will succeed, so giving this first donation gets fundraisers off on the right foot. Fundraisers are able to keep the Good Start Fund donation as long as they raise $200 in additional donations. The Good Start Fund relies on donations as well. The majority of the Good Start Fund donations come from designated giving days, like #GivingTuesday.

How can I contribute?

On #GivingTuesday, we not only encourage donors to give to stories that touch their hearts, but also to the Good Start Fund to allow their dollars to go further. This year, our goal on #GivingTuesday is to raise $2,250 for the Good Start Fund. This money will allow us to get 45 more fundraisers off to a great start!
