When George Gresham, known to his friends as Randy, shared his story on Red Basket earlier this year, it contained this quote from him, “I am currently unable to work and it is questionable that I will be able to return to work.” George had been recently diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia and was undergoing chemotherapy. Thanks to the generosity of the Red Basket community, George and his wife Jeanine were able to raise $1,385.

Fast forward a few months, and you’ll get a much different quote from Jeanine regarding George, “George has been back to work for three weeks now. We are so very thankful to have him healthy and active again.” Jeanine also noted that George enjoys being productive again. The money that was raised on Red Basket was used to pay for some of George’s doctor bills. When asked if George and Jeanine had any advice for current Askers on Red Basket, Jeanine replied, “Never take anything for granted. Live life to the fullest!”

It’s obvious what the Greshams are most thankful for this Thanksgiving season. Thank you for being a part of their reason to celebrate.
